The Combined Magnetic Field (CMF) signal is the latest evolution of bone growth stimulation science. In pre-clinical laboratory studies human bone cells and rat fracture callus were grown in a nutrient medium and then exposed to 30 minutes of CMF. The results are depicted in the following graphs.
 
 
DonJoy studies, in collaboration with the research lab of Dr. David Baylink at Loma Linda University show that 30 minutes of CMF exposure stimulated various osteoblastic cellular functions mediated by the bone cell growth factor, IGF-II. These factors have been shown to influence the healing process in pre-clinical in vitro laboratory studies.
